It's a fair bit different than motorsportsreg. It's really just a system to search all the various hpde and adt days by date, organization or track. Frankly, I think the searching system in trackdb is alot easier to use than motorsportsreg.
I think having it as an excel file is still a good idea - and luckily Merlosso has already the heavy lifting there.
Ultimately I want to add a feature so people can log in, select what days they're attending, record lap times and share that with their friends, but it's a matter of finding time to build it out (if someone wants to help I can definitely share the source).
