I did the 1200 miles service myself (I had a way of getting it "in the system") and bought my own fluids on the military base. The local German dealer (Pressath) sells 10W60 at 23 Euro per liter, so you are looking at 184 Euro in oil (8 liters) before they even turn a wrench and wack you for the filter (about 17 Euro), plus the other fluids.

I did not get an actual quote, but the "rumors" have the first service at about 400 to 500 Euro +/- (without the VAT). YMMV

Hopefully BMW NA will re-imburse you.
