I just don't get this car at all. The niche filled by the 456 and the 612 is that of a super luxury coupe that also delivers Italian styling and performance. It would compete against a Bentley Brooklands or a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe. It's not supposed to be a hatchback, especially not a ~$400,000 hatchback. It's just dumb. Do you see James Bond driving up to a casino in that?
