Qship: You probably will not buy an argument based on simulation either (physics!
) but CarTest has been fairly well validated and is certainly even better in A-B comparisons (as opposed to absolutely correct values all the time for all cars). But to humor you I ran quite a few cases. All in mph (don't blame me - I was trained in science and love metric but I do live in the US...)

You can run these simulations all day with differnt begin and different end speed, with or without a launh, with or without a shift. IT JUST DOES NOT MATTER, with a driver that is trying at all it is simply NOT A CONTEST. You just can not beat physics i.e. power to weight ratio.
