Yeah but that's the US and I understand why you'd say that.
However in the UK estates/tourers/avants whatever you want to call them are very popular indeed with our lot. You can see by the resale value of bimmer 3 tourers how much of a demand there is for them, they are a lot dearer second hand than saloons/sedans.
I guess just have to keep fingers crossed for an M Performance 340i/d tourer at some point or an ///M Dog Rack
