I don't have any experience with the Vredsteins but I do have the Hankooks. If you are genuinely looking for best $/mile without completely sacrificing performance I think there are cheaper choices than the PSS. Given the PSS will likely be a more comfortable ride and is a superior tire. Hopefully they last longer than the PS2s. I know the tread rating is higher. Not sure if they last as long as the V12s (or maybe they last even longer). The tread rating measurements aren't exactly equal across manufacturers so it's hard to tell.

Can anyone who has had both PS2s and PSS comment on tread life?
I have both,and i can see... and feel the difference, PSS -15-20 % better !
