I think your range may be a bit high. On Fred Miranda they are going for ~1250-1350 /900-1000 shipped/. Newer gear has crushed resale on the older stuff.
I personally bought my last 5d2 for 1250 from adorama 3 years ago. It wasn't perfectly mint, but it was close.
Was painful to resell when i got my 5d3.
