. Remember without the Helmholtz chambers, the M3 drones like a mofo. Those chambers are the little ones immediately after the connecting pipes enter the muffler. VERY effective

By the way, many folks have done that mod of bypassing the middle absorption chambers, and it's basically the Dinan mufflers' design. Or better put, Dinan just copied the stock exhaust sans absorption chambers
... and couldn't even leave the dual outlets with real tips
