Keep in mind that this is not really a problem unless the squeaking bothers you. First, just make sure that your brake pads are not worn down (this shouldn't be the problem with only 17k easy miles.). Yes, bedding in the brakes should solve the problem...temporarily. If you continue to drive (brake) without aggression, the squeak will return.
