i think many people justify the cost of the LFA based on 0-60 performance, but the thing is you can also argue that the z06 is fast/faster than an f430 at 1/3 the price...guess what I will take if i can afford both, f430.

Well said. I love the new Ferrari FF even if it is very expensive for the same reason - motoring perfection. It is just a masterpiece.
Regarding LFA, aside from exclusivity, only 500 means higher cost to produce especially considering it is completely bespoke. Last time Toyota/Yamaha produced 363 copies of a bespoke racing car/supercar in 1968 (2000 GT), they go for over $200,000 today. Plus all the R&D that goes in is unlike any of those other cars.
