That should give you some interesting reading. It seems that the dealer is not properly explaining what the cause of the failure was. Metal clogging the oil passageways is the effect of something else failing. Where did the metal come from? Another part failed, assuming what they are telling you is correct. And by the way, any metal shavings in the oil certainly won't be brass.
