Actually, it's the other way around.

I moved from a last generation mazda 3 2.3 hatchback to a 997 turbo, then to a 328i(pre-lci E90), then a heavily modded 335xi, then M3

997 turbo was bought at the end of 2008 and it's still with me. I have got used to the power long time ago and always been eager for more power. But I have no plan to mod it though since it's a convertible. It's a great car but because it's AWD, not too much enjoyable.

Then 328i, it's for daily use, great car, good fuel consumption. But got totalled while an idiot front end my car. It's gone but not forgotten

Next, 335xi. I planned to drive it in winter. But accidently bring it to track in summer. By that time, couple of my friends started modding the 335i's so I am incented to continue modding it. Right now with RB's it's putting about 450awhp, 470lb-ft. It's still with me.

Of course it's a mistake not to own the M3 at first. The M3 has a much more overall balance than a modified 335. but the lack of power just makes me sick... plan to go for ESS VT3 at the end of this year.
