Yeah, and it's not like I'm registering with those guys.
My ancestors have been poor farmers in western VA since the sixteenth century (though we all pretty much urbanized in the twentieth). Blasting around in trashy sports cars is viewed as just plain impolite, and if you're "bagging" in from northern VA to do it, that just adds insult to injury. There's only one thing NoVa is good for south of Prince William and west of Manassas: tax revenue and tourist money.
My one and only reckless ticket was from route 84, simple speeding. You better believe I had local counsel represent me, and I minded my manners when I was talking to the trooper. And they were fair with me in turn.
