I kept it closer to home the latter part of the holiday weekend, but still went out exploring some less traveled back roads of the bay area.
Saturday there wasn't much to take photos of, too much traffic near the beach I was at.
I did get to follow a lime green Geo Metro through the new Devils Slide bypass on Hwy 1 between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. Before this, the road would routinely slide into the ocean, hence the name.

Got to the beach but didn't stay long. Too many knuckleheads, which I should have expected on a holiday weekend. I must say the fog was welcome after the heat the previous few days.

The next day I took a drive along Calaveras Road, which will mean nothing to most people that don't live around here, but it is a road that skirts the hills around the east and south bay area, starting near Sonol and ending in Milpitas.
Always a good sign!

The white domes in the distance are the James Lick Observatory on top of Mount Hamilton, which is another drive for another day!

You feel like your miles away from anything up here, and then before you know it, you drop right back into the heart of Silicon Valley

Hope everyone enjoyed my road trip weekend pics. I sure had fun with the X1 and my cameras and can't wait to get out and do it again.
