That's terrible man. I feel for you. Your money would have been better spent taking the adjuster to the side and telling him... "look dude here's $500 for you, that car is a total loss right??" I can't believe they didn't deem it a total loss. A flooded car will never be the same, I don't care who fixes it. Funny you mention that there was an SL500. My dad had an SL500 years ago and we had a minor hurricane down here that brought more rain than I've ever seen. His car was slightly flooded. No engine trouble, didn't even smell funny, it had a couple of electrical problems but that was it. I thought it would be a simple fix but they called back a few days later and said it was a total loss. He got a rental car and about a week later brought home a brand new SL. I feel for you man. I really do. I'd get BMWNA the BBB and anyone else I could think of involved as well. Don't stay quiet !!!! The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
