Whenever I get a new set of wheels they are prepped and Opti-Coated before going on the car. It is a "permanent" layer that must be polished off for removal. Any imperfections left before treatment are sealed in. Regular cleaning after proper application should be easy. Nothing else is close longevity wise, as always the prep work is key.
