you talking about the steel trailing arms? I think bending them might be more coomon than most realize. My car has never hit a curb yet i found both of mine bent last week after a failed alignment. Solution? Replace them, they're fairly cheap at $50/side. They are also designed to be the weak link in the suspension to protect everything else back there.
edit: I see you're upside down. Might want to budget $100/side for those arms...
