Also when do you close the valves? Under what circumsance? I can't see when someone would close them. Either you want a loud exhaust and you drive your car or you don't. Not sure I wake up some days and want it loud and others not

I would want to close the valves when I see the cops! Where I live, a loud is exhaust is illegal.
