Sorry to bump this thread from the dead, but I have a 08 e92 m3 and want to use the newer air filter... Is there anyway I can use the newer style... or is the design just not going to allow it. Want to stick with OEM but dont want to keep the more restrictive charcoal lined filter if possible.
