The only thing pirating a game like Crysis 2 does is ensure that we won't see any more high end games on the PC. Or any game save for an MMO. Which would be a shame since the PC is a much superior gaming interface than a console for the people with enough time, money, and/or competency.

Very true, that is a large part of why there arent as many good titles out just for PC right now. It's sad as you wrote the PC is by far the best platform.
