It is not that hard to take it off. You must loosen all 8 holder screws from the throtle bodies and pull a couple of hoses and wires and then you can pull up on the plenum. There is a DIY thread somewhere on this.

Will do, need to change out the sparkplugs so the plenum has to come off anyways.
It sucks our winter season is 5 months long!
