I was at wits end to solve problems like this and others. I finally took it to a dealer who insisted I replace the transmission. WRONG! After talking with the shop manager they tried bleeding the SMG hydraulic system and everything has been splendid since! Only cost $150 USD. A lot admittedly, but much less than I expected.
