In general both plates must be left on the car during transport. I'm not sure how the drop off people let you take one. It's clearly explained in the PO.

So when I shipped my car, I took triangle and first aid kit with me. When i picked up the car last Friday, release tabs for a triangle are no longer there! WTH
Instead, there are 2 torx screws
Now i have to find these so my triangle doesnt just slide all over the trunk.
