My main reason is that I would like to start a "d spotter" thread (like all the "spotter" threads in the local forums). Ds are so rare, i have seen only two other ds since I got mine in May 08. D-rivers could post to that thread when they see another d, I think it would be cool to see somebody spot me, or if I spotted another d-river.
But I also think this thread would be annoying to 335i and xi owners in the main 3-series forum. Also, it would get pushed down by all the other posts and d-isappear off the map.
I have no desire for a separate forum like the M cars. Just a subgroup.
