Thanks, so basically 285 can fit on stock 19".
In that case can anyone with experience on 245/35 fronts & 285/30 rears enlighten me on the following:
1. is 285 borderline on the 19" OEM rear rims & does that have a negative effect on tyre performance in anyway?
2. how is the balance of the car affected by staying stock in the front and increasing by 2 sizes (20mm) the rears? Is the balance neutralised or is there notable understeer? I am mostly interested in track handling, or handling in good quality road surfaces.
3. given that the 285/30 rears yields an overall wheel diameter which is smaller by 35mm (33.76cm versus the OEM 33.41cm wheel diameter), how does this affect (i) top speed, and (ii) wheel torque. Do you get the sense that the higher wheel torque counter-balances / nullifies the adverse effect of increased weight?
