I'm concerned about an install error in cutting off the stock exhaust. What if the installer cuts at the wrong location and the Remus tail pipes end up sticking out of the back bumper too far...or worse, not far enough.

I had an exhaust system installed by River Oaks Auto Repairs, and they did a good job.
I would recommend buying a set of connecting pipes. That way you don't have to cut the OE exhaust. It may be a good idea to keep the OE muffler+connecting pipes when you sell your car.
