Maybe I'm like Miss Daisy or some thing. I recall a guy at the BMW driver training day who said he was on his third set in 15,000k's, I nearly fell over. He went on to say that he drives it like he stole it.... all the time so........
I have heard of a C63 going through a set in 4,000kms!

20,000km is good going, though I squeezed 60,000km out of the X5's first set.

I recently picked up a nail in the passenger rear tyre of the M3 and the dealer service people said I'd have to get a new one. Well, two obviously as you'd want an even set at the rear. They quoted $866 per PS2 tyre, which was actually the cheapest of three quotes that I had. Nevertheless, the tyre shop I go to who specialise in performance cars etc fixed the nail hole with a plug as the nail was dead straight perpendicular in the middle of the tread. Makes me wonder whether some b*stard put the nail behind my wheel in the first place!
