I found that a ton of drone was created by the plastic tray that covers the spare tire area, the trunk floor, & the trunk lid, essentially the exhaust tone would resonate the plastic tray and everything else & amplify what comes out of the tips. So i put dynamat all over the plastic tray and tiny amounts on everything else. With the windows up you cant hear it at all unless your right foot is to the floor.
I actually think its too quiet in the cabin now with the Dynamat. but i know what kind of noise comes out the back so i'm cool with quiet inside.
My kids even say the car is quieter now and asked me what i did to it?
