Exmowner, that sounds about right you being neck & neck on pump gas. He'd blow you away on a higher octane tune however.
I ran my ess 625 with a 100 octane tune & cat delete vs a dozen fbo gt-r's at multiple airstrip 40mph events here in so cal, the only gt-r I can pull on in a half mile is a stock one...intake/exhaust and they are 1 cars behind, e85 or race gas and they blow my doors of.
There is an extensive library of videos out there showing these results...
The sc kits out on the market put the m3 on par or slightly faster than a 458, z06, lp-560, etc...you are not going to pull bus lengths however. Just my experience as I've raced them all and watched another forum member (longboarder) have similar results.
