I ordered the X6 spare wheel from Tischer and a 125/70 18 tire from Tire Rack. However, the X6 wheel is 6" inches wide; I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like there is no way that a 125mm tire is going to fit on the 152mm rim.
The stock tire for the X6 is a 155/90 18, which is 2.5" bigger in diameter than the 265/40 18 rear tire.
I called Tire Rack to see if they have something closer (like maybe a 155/70 18), but they don't. The only thing they've got is the 155/90.
I am thinking that a 2.5" difference in diameter is too much, even for a temp. spare; I am also thinking that a 135 mm tire cannot be stretched to fit on a 6 inch rim. If I'm wrong about either of those, or if anyone has any other ideas, feel free to post.
