The sound on closed is louder still throughout the rev range. Truth be told it doesn't have that hollow rumble that the MPE is famous for. The etronic is deeper but doesn't quite have the character of the MPE with the valves closed.
Just took my girlfriend out for a drive and she loves it
WIN. Didn't complain about the volume and we talked no problems at all.
