Using your formula that would the RS5 a torque figure of 435Nm at similar revs which would be unacceptable to me.

It's all sounding like another M3 only with awd, it will be a cracker car, just not for me by the sounds of it.

P.S.

What's the chances of it using a larger capacity engine than before, maybe a 4.4 or 4.5L V8, then there wouldn't be the same need for revs and torque could be more evenly spread.
+1 on what you said.

Regarding capacity, I would agree here but looking at that spreadsheet it seems to be 4.2l. But then again, I remember looking at the spreadsheet earlier and seen this:

Quote:
R8
5.2FSI 386 kW (525k)
R8 Spyder
5.2FSI 386 kW (525k)
R8 Spyder
4.2FSI 386 kW (525k)
Clearly the 4.2FSI of the R8 Spyder should have 420bhp and not over 500bhp!

And also, I was hoping for this engine to make it to the RS4/RS5 but oh well....we gotto to do with a damn highly rated high revving V8

I noticed it and I think it's supercharged. The reason for it is that Audi have released the 3.0TFSi for the S4 and the A6, but the A6 has only has 290bhp compared to S4's 333bhp.

I notice that the A7 has a 3.0TFSi with 300bhp, which I think is an improved A6 engine. Therefore I think with the S7 has a 4.0TFSi (supercharged) engine. Also, we notice supercharged V6's in other "S" models like the S4 and S5.
