X2 perfect response. It should cost like 120 bucks last time i checked for a ppi. Plus when you go to the dealer they can pull up the full service record. Since its still under warranty i cant see why they would take the car to be serviced privately since its free through bmw. So there shouldnt be any issues that bmw doesnt know about.
As far as the smg itself goes....its very fun to drive. Once you get the hang of it and develop the feel for it your going to love it. I had an e46 m3 smg when i was younger. Funnest car i ever had, i still miss it.
