i have run these combos for front wheels:
8.5 et29
9 et31
9.5 et22
9 et31 with 12mm spacers
my feeling is, et29 and et31 have the most responsive steering. especially when i ran et31 with 12mm spacers (same as et19), the steering became more dull. it gives a feeling it doesn't really want to return to center as quickly. i have to help it more, if you know what i mean. so if i want a nice tight steering, i wouldn't want to go much below the stock offset. in terms of rear offset, i have tried these non stock combo:
9.5 et 22, 10.5 et24
9 et31, 10 et25, both with 12mm spacers
the first combo was fine, steering maybe slightly worse compare to stock, but it wasn't too bad. but the second combo i really didn't like. not only the steering feels dull, but the ride quality also clearly suffers, it feels as if i had lowering springs and my shocks travel was reduced by half. strange but it was very obvious to me.
