I love buying TV's on Craigslist. If you find one that is fairly new and the reviews are good, why not? I got a 32" 1080p Toshiba for $200 about a year ago on Craigslist. If your not comfortable with it then I usually see good prices at Walmart occasionally. They sell Sony and Samsung TV's, all the other brands they have I would stay away from.
