12.25" high. I wish it were a bit lower, because based on my measurements, 12" is pretty high in the air for just a tire change.

I see your point about using three cheap jacks to get the car up on stands all around pretty quickly, but part of the novelty or attraction of this particular jack stand is that it allows you to jack on the actual jacking points as well as use those same jacking points for the jack stand location. I've always been nervous about the prospect of sliding a jack all the way under the front end to find that puck at the back of the engine or using that location by the diff out back. Too afraid I'd screw something up.

You're right--a scissor lift would be much better, but obviously not track-friendly.
