ESS has been engineering custom tunes for BMW DMEs for over a decade, and has always offered clients two options for installation of their custom performance tunes- an in person install, or remote tuning which could be accomplished by shipping your DME directly to ESS Tuning’s Norway facility.
Two years ago, ESS changed that by introducing their hand held flash cable. When a tune is purchased, IND will ship a flash cable directly to your door. You can then use the cable to upload your car’s factory software, email it to ESS for editing, and ESS will email a completed tuned file directly to you. The flash cable will allow you to reinstall the tuned file without removing your DME from the car, and with no downtime!
ESS’ tunes are now specially priced to include the flash cable. ESS’ E92 M3 tune has been developed since the E92 M3’s inception and offers a 15-20hp gain, an 8600rpm red line, and removed top speed limiter in it’s base form. Many additional options are available such as removed cold start heat cycle, removed top speed limiter, and even custom files designed to take advantage of further engine modifications.
