Pwning the M3 ??? ...without keys of course

Although it is somewhat difficult to initiate an attack on a car now, it is now possible to take control of a car through the poor security and vulnerabilities littered throughout the car's computer system.

Imagine accessing the door unlock and start system on the M3 through a vulnerability in bluetooth/telematics - BMW assists/keyless entry/tpms ?? Entirely possible, especially if some of these smart people start publishing the exploits...

It reminds me of the Internet, Wireless phones, cells, bluetooth...when those first came out, few gave any thoughts to security, either because nobody cares, no exploits, security=money, etc. I think this sort of applies to cars...everybody wants a car to be loaded with tech devices, but car companies are reluntant to spend money on secure programming of car computers because there are (were) no known exploits and nobody cares
