The pulleys for our cars add a little torque and HP and they are safe. The downside is that if you drive the car only occasionally and only on short drives, you will need to buy a trickle charger. Also, if you ever throw a belt, it's not the stock replacement size. Not likely but possible. I keep the 2 replacement belts in my trunk, just in case. If it's your daily driver you'll be fine - no issues.
