Do me a favor... Don't read SMG VS. 6speed threads...
they are worthless and they just talk crap to eachother....
I had an E46 M3 SMG and i did my share if 6 speed driving...
The M5 and M6 had their share of SMG problems but my friend got the second year M6... and I LOVE THE SMG mroe than anything... go to ur bmw dealer and test drive a used E46 SMG and play with it, you can do almost anything a manual can do, and now my friends M6 has SMG III I don't even see the difference.
BUT.........
I think i am going to get the new M3 in 6 speed manual. It is just funner "sometimes" if you do not care about traffic etc. because you are in more control of the car.
But I love SMG I hope I kinda helped...
