I've got mixed feelings about this. It really is a shame about your car and the pole and all that jazz, which I hope all gets resolved painlessly.

However, this story is yet another testament to the lack of knowledge and understanding of an owners vehicle. This incident was undoubtedly inevitable considering the thought process of a human. A person will continually push the envelope until you are either caught, or dead, especially pertaining to fast cars. OP and I and everyone else knows for a fact that if this accident didn't happen, you'd go out next week and rip the canyons even harder than the last time, and for this, I have no sympathy. You're lucky you didn't hit an oncoming mini-van with a family aboard and kill somebodies husband and disable a kid. Go to the track to where these cars were born and raised on, pushing your car to it's engineered limits, SAFELY.

I will say that it is nice to see OP owning up to his actions and trying to avoid this in the future.

Disagree with what I had to say or consider myself way too safe?
Ask me where my best friend is.
