No my car is stock (mostly). Clearly my E36 is not faster per the magazines, but on that day it was.
My point is: these questions where people are concerned with what car if faster than another only matter if you're capable of extracting the same performance out of a particular car. Few people probably are. Many times the limiting factor in real world performance is the driver.
