good question, I am not exactly sure on how the process works but I do know there is a cut off moment when BMW does not offer any additional coverage I'm sure it can vary model to model. Best bet would be to call and ask the experts for your particular situation. They will not try to haggle or pressure you to buy anything, we are not that type of dealership. It will be a quick no pressure response every time
