The XF is very nice, and the quality hiccups and technology glitches that have affected the model is very common. It's a brand new car. The same happens to every automaker, especially premium automakers as they often put untested/experimental technology in their vehicles.

Price-wise, I think it compares favorably with the Germans, as it has a standard V8. If I was looking for a premium mid-size sedan, I'd look for a S/C 4.2 XF, slightly used.
