I'm still not clear myself on a DIY solution--the "vinyl" method looks a bit iffy. My wife--the queen of crafting and cut to size and heat gun expert--doesn't think it's an easy application and lots of chance to mess up. Maybe that's not the case--but I can't find anything to suggest otherwise. Maybe some actually did a DIY vinyl but I can't find actual pictures/DIY either using the native search function or Google + site:www.m3post.com.

Looks like it's quite pricey to go with replacement trim. Maybe someone at EAS can talk me down on the price...I hate the chrome.
