I'd pass on a 100K m3 unless it was an e36 or e46.
For an e9x, there are plenty of low mileage examples and that price doesn't really warrant the miles IMO. For another $5K you can seemingly get an 08 with 40K less miles.
Oh and for strictly a track car, I'd probably look for a car with a salvage title if I was going to strip and build it anyhow.
