Personally only trust the V1. I also had a Passport 8500 and it never gave me the sense of confidence the V1 did. I would prefer 100 false alerts and picking up the 1 police officer if I'm speeding than 10 false alerts and 1 failed pickup where I get a $500 ticket. Also, if you learn how to read the V1 it becomes a very efficient tool that you will not be able to live without.
