I own Real Performance speed shop in Reno. I do custom swaps and turbo builds all the time. Right now Im swapping a turbo LSx setup into a 2010 genesis coupe for instance. I picked up this v7 ysi big block chevy kit brand new for $1725 today. I already sold the carb and hat for $1000 so im into it $725. 1000whp is not my dead set goal but i would like to get close. This motor with pistons rods and quality fasteners should handle that power level just fine.
