i would say start by going to actually look at it, drive it etc... if it feels and looks good go from there. Do you like the color combo, stick shift, no nav, no competition and a convertible? If so then have auto check.com or similar check it out. Maybe a body shop would even look at it for you. We have all driven cars that we wrecked in our lifetimes... where they junk from there on out. Mine wasn't. I always think it takes a certain type of dealer to handle a special car like that, in turn a chevy store might have to sell based on discounted price. Good luck!
