Try to find out what she likes (facebook is a good tool here) suggest doing one of those. Just avoid asking her directly what to do! Guys often blow dates by asking what the girl wants to do. This question tends to bore them, so be affirmative and know what to do already.
Basically just avoid all of the hackneyed dates that immediately come to mind, especially if this is a first date. Dinner, movies, carnival, coffee, etc are played out. If you've seen it more than once in a tv show, you prolly shouldn't do it for the first date.
What you do on the date isn't actually too important. Your behavior and attitude are. Be flirtatious and she will often be having more fun with the idea that you might be into her than the date itself, if indeed she likes you or was thinking of it.
